Architectural Designers are able to do everything an Architect can. Architectural Designers can produce drawings, submit plans to the City for Building Permit and create attractive and practical designs.
So who should you choose for your project?
An Architectural Designers are limited to the following:
Residential , business, personal services, mercantile or industrial occupancies can be max. three (3) storeys, max. 6400 sq. ft. (600 sq. m.) in gross area.
Restaurants can't have more than 30 seats.
No units can't be above one another.
It has to comply to part 9 of the Ontario Building Code.
If you are building a larger building then an architect should be considered; otherwise a good Architectural Designer is more than capable, and usually more affordable as well.
